Behind the scenes funnies
This one time on the road, somewhere in the middle of America, the band made a little pit stop to fill up the tank and stretch our legs. I stalled a while and meandered through the wild mixture of bible belt truck stop paraphernalia, camouflage wearables and crosses adorned in plastic rhinestones, trinkets with inspiring motivational quotes and souvenir shot glasses, racks of hoodies with I heart (insert wherever the hell we were) on them and then I spotted Wanda, the most unique bobble figurine I'd ever seen.
I couldn't help myself. I snuck the purchase when they weren’t looking and surprised them with our road mascot, we named Wanda. She sat on the dash for the remainder of the tour. She now sits on the windowsill of a private studio in Kingston, Washington, called Cedar Swamp Studios where we worked out the demos that made the LP, Sojourner.
Okay, she may need a little corrective surgery. She had way too much fun on the road.
